Griesdorf Quarry

Dolomite Basement, change visible, from Grandschichten (geological layer) to Pseudokeuper (another geological layer) Marls appear to be clastic, they are made by material (duh), erosion materiaal (dutch word inserted). The Dolomites are created in deep water conditions, when the magnesium ions are substituted for the calcium ions. (makes sense)

Steinmergelkeuper: undulating hilly terrain, no foxes or rabits, thin soil profile, high water table.
